LaunchD Task Scheduler App Reviews

Some bumps for the novice

If you are not in the habit of using plist files from the Library, it may be confusing about when things run properly and when they dont (e.g. if you use arguments that need to be changed each month, you need to edit the plist). It is a good program for initially constructing launch agents (as opposed to typing in raw code with keystroke errors), but it is easier to edit the programs once created with something like FaR (if you run a bunch of them) or the text edit. It does what it says on the box just fine and is a useful tool.

Great tool and great support (as others have commented!)

This tool does exactly what it should and in an intuitive way. This has saved me a lot of hassle and i recommend it highly.

Great tool, works flawlessly for me

I bought it to run a Ruby rake task daily on a new Macbook Pro running OS X Yosemite. My rake task uses Ruby 2.1.5 via RVM, Rails 4, and connects to AWS S3. It works just fine for this, including the support for redirecting stdout and stderr to chosen log files. Feature request: Ability to set environment variables as part of the plist. (In my configuration, my .bashrc wasn’t getting read by default. launchd has a facility for this.)

Great Utility!

I use it for all of my automated tasks. Makes the job simple!
